Dr. Susan MacLennan specializes in cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery, body contouring, abdominoplasty, and labiaplasty. Over a decade ago, she adopted Dr. Hall-Findlay’s breast reduction techniques in her practice and like Dr. Hall-Findlay, she is committed to integrity, honesty, patient education, and excellence. Her patients rely on her professionalism, experience and skill, but also appreciate her ability to discuss their concerns in a friendly, “girlfriend to girlfriend” manner.
Dr. MacLennan is a proud Nova Scotian who completed her undergraduate and medical school degrees at prestigious Dartmouth College in New Hampshire. Her Plastic Surgery residency training at the University of Cincinnati included time at the Shriners’ Burn Institute, as well as a mini-fellowship in cosmetic surgery in Miami, Florida. She then spent 15 years in practice at the University of Vermont Medical Center before returning to Canada to join her mentor, Dr. Hall-Findlay in Banff. At Banff Plastic Surgery, she is delighted to be able to focus entirely on breast and body surgery procedures and labiaplasty, the patients and procedures she enjoys most.
Dr. MacLennan has published peer-reviewed articles on breast reduction and breast re-reduction (with Dr. Hall-Findlay) and regularly participates in teaching courses and committee work with plastic surgery professional societies. See her complete CV here.
Dr. MacLennan is a Diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
